Vintage Victorian Revival ornate paste ruby and paste diamond earrings with faux seed pearls from the 1930's to early 40's are stunning beauties that could easily pass for the real thing and they're being offered for your consideration. They are in excellent vintage condition and these marvelous earrings have their pave-set sparkling rhinestone diamond paste stones set in multi-point gold plated star settings with prong-set glass seed pearls set up on stalks and an oval paste ruby prong-set in the center of each earring. Their early style triangular shaped clip backs are ornately etched and each is marked with, Pat. 1967965, on its back side. This patent was awarded to Eugene Morehouse and Melvin Moore on July 24, 1934 for the clip back's design (patent provided with the photos). These display desirable light age appropriate mellowing with light wear to the finish, nothing in our opinion that detracts from their stunning appeal only that, that on very close inspection affirms their age and authenticity. They measure 1 1/8 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch proud. A gorgeous, classic and striking stand-alone addition to any collection; the perfect accessory for so many occasions, seasons, events and ensembles! (K4991)
