EUGENE's vintage exotic floral rhinestone and glass earrings in shades of pink from cotton candy to yummy candy apple reds, are simply gorgeous and opulent, but this wasn't enough for Eugene, he also placed among their layers, rhinestone rose montee and dangling prisms so that the 'Russian' gilded foliage creations became these miniature corsages of vintage wearable works of art being offered here for your consideration and appreciation. They are in excellent vintage condition, appearing to have been seldom if ever worn!
Eugene Jewelry (1952-1962)was designed and handcrafted by Eugene Schultz. Mr. Schultz's family says he once designed for Miriam Haskell before setting out on his own. Miriam Haskell Jewelry denies this; however the grand lady's influence is very clear, whether he ever designed for her or not. The name Eugene on a piece of jewelry is always a rare and coveted find for the collector / lover of fine quality costume jewelry! Mr. Schultz and his small staff produced jewelry for only 10 years; it is scarce in the market place and is becoming very difficult to find in even good condition, let alone excellent. His jewelry is always on my hunt list!
A feast for the eyes and a true treasure for any collection; these are also large; measuring 1 1/2 inches by 1 inch and more than a 1/2 inch proud. The 'Russian' gold plating is in excellent condition and displays minimal wear; the rhinestones under magnification display only light peppering, as you would expect ( they are over 50 years old )! The clip backs are both signed, EUGENE, and function properly. Feminine, elegant, museum or dare we say time capsule quality; timeless addition to your accessories wardrobe collection which will add a striking stand-alone statement. If pink is your bride's color, we cannot imagine a more perfect accessory for that perfect day than the addition of these vintage pieces of wearable art, not to mention they would be befitting almost any other ensemble your PRINCESS ( MOM, Mother of your children ) might choose to wear!
