You will find this set displayed full page on 115 of Georgiana McCall's book, HATTIE CARNEGIE JEWELRY Her Life and Legacy. In her write up, Ms. McCall states " duet " pins in Carnegie Jewelry are extremely rare and highly collectable; she also states that "The sky would be the limit on this pin for a serious collector ". Interesting note: The mark on the book's pictured duette's frame has the copyright logo, indicating it was was produced after 1955; the duette offered here has no copyright logo indicting it is a piece produced prior to 1955.
The dazzling rhinestone's settings are covered with mirror reflecting rhodium plating and the assembled duette measures a quite respectable 2 3/8 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide and 11/16 inch proud. The earrings measure 1 1/4 inches on all three of their sides and both are signed, Carnegie, on their clip backs; the frame of the duette is signed, Hattie Carnegie, in an oval cartouche. This gorgeous, classic and striking Carnegie combo; is the perfect accessory for so many occasions, seasons, events and ensembles! (J8540)
