Vintage Dauplaise figural charm necklace and faux pearl filigree earrings on their original DAUPLAISE card are being offered for your consideration. The gilded brass link chain necklace has a distinctive Haskell look to it for good reason; Carol Dauplaise, their designer worked for Miriam Haskell Jewelry from 1959 to 1979, before setting out on her own and you should recognize many of the components too in this vintage piece. The components of the necklace are varied; gilded brass filigree balls, a wreath and leaves, gilded etched hearts and a puffy one, a gilded locket with faux pearl front that opens, wonderful different size cherubs, faux pearl drops and red, blue and green baroque handcrafted glass drops all dangling from beautiful gilded link chain. The push-pull clasp will look very familiar to Haskell lovers too, this one is signed, DAUPLAISE, and (Pat) 3984900, this patent number being issued in 1976. ( Changes to the coupling device (clasp) design of the one made so it so could be plated after assembly.) The necklace measures 17 inches long and displays only desirable age appropriate mellowing and light wear to the finish nothing that detracts from its stunning appeal only that that affirms its age and authenticity. The necklace is from the late 1970's to early 1980's. The clip earrings measure 1 1/4 inches in diameter and are in unworn like condition, on their original Carol Dauplaise card; the earrings themselves are unsigned and probably of a slightly more contemporary issue; more than likely from as late as the 1990's; their previous owner thought them to be a good marriage with the necklace and so do I, so they've been left together. This necklace just looks like FUN and you can't help but feel good when you wear the set.....so go ahead indulge in some happiness and have some fun! Enjoy the set with many of your today and vintage ensembles for so many occasions, seasons and events! (J7609)
