Vintage Mylu Christmas wreath brooch with red, green and crystal rhinestones set in a bright brushed gold finish holly leaf wreath setting, depicted as all tied with a bow is being offered for your consideration. It is in excellent vintage condition. Note: any dark areas in the photos are shadows and reflections.
Mylu (1961-1970) was the trademark of Christmas jewelry produced by two sisters, Marge Borofsky and Lynne Gordon; in 1968 they accepted the offer of Coro to become a division of the company responsible for holiday and children's jewelry. (If your interested in more the history on these two sisters see page 227 in Coro Jewelry, A Collector's Guide by Marcia Brown.)
The brooch measures 1 5/8 inches in diameter. The pin back is straight and sharp, the "C" clasp functions properly. This is a very nice and well made brooch, one you will be proud to own or give as a gift. One you will reach for often this holiday season and for many, many more to come to add that perfect finishing touch! (J0300)
