Fine Austrian porcelain butter pats or small serving plates, a set of 6 with a pink floral rose designs are being offered for your consideration. These hard to find Art Nouveau beauties were produced in Altrohlau, Austria by Oscar & Edgar Gutherz. Their mark dates creation to between 1899 and 1918. They have an ornate scalloped edge form with raised beading border. The center transfer decorations are variations of the same pink roses / flower with green foliage. There are no chips or cracks and the glaze is bright and shiny on any of the 6* listed for sale only some scuffing at the high points from stacking and light scratches from use are notable. Each pat measures 3 1/2 inches in diameter and all are marked, O E & G with an ivy wreath and have Royal inside the wreath and Austria beneath the wreath. There are the era typical production glaze skips, specs of iron, glaze dust bumps and small decal / decoration skips; most if not all of these can also be see in the photos and are not considered flaws of any kind but affirmations of their age and authenticity. A fabulous find and a wonderful addition to any fine dinnerware collection for display or use at your next gourmet dinner party or buffet! Try using them to present / serve after dinner mints, small chocolates or nuts too! (J0250)
*You may have already noticed there are 8 butter pats photographed and 6 listed for sale; 2 have minor imperfections and are offered for free, one has a small hairline on the back that can't be seen on the front and the other a tiny chip on the back that isn't seen viewing from the front, both of these are noted in the photos. If you do not want these included with your order, please just indicate this at the time of sale and they will be donated to our next area charity drive.
