Sterling Craft by Coro's stunning fawn lapel brooch depicts a fawn or baby deer preserved cradled in foliage for posterity in a sterling mini picture frame which has being washed with gold a process called "vermeil". The brooch is in excellent vintage condition and being offered for your consideration. Coro used the Sterling Craft by Coro signature from 1942 to 1944; this brooch is at least 70 year old! The glossy yellow gold finish is in excellent condition. This brooch appears as to have been worn very little; on close examination the the locking 'C' clasp latch and a few small areas on the pin shaft show natural oxidation, elsewhere only light wear to the finish, nothing that detracts from its stunning appeal only that that affirms its age and authenticity. AMAZING. The beautiful petite brooch measures 1 3/16 by 13/16 inches. The locking 'C' clasp functions properly. World War II era brooches are highly collectible and ones in this condition are rare finds! These will display beautifully in any collection and will grace all your vintage or today's fashion ensembles with the same style & pazzaz as it did when the great Glenn Miller's Band played long into the moonlit night's air!
