Vintage Nettie Rosenstein's hi-relief glass coral cameo brooch surrounded by faux pearls and 'diamond' like rhinestones is being offered for your consideration. This beauty is in excellent vintage condition!
Nettie Rosenstein ( 1927-Early 1960's ) began her career in millinery but it was not long before she turned her talents to couture and then expanded into accessories. Her jewelry was always produced in limited quantities and was of the highest quality and finest designs. Even during the slow economic recovery from the Great Depression, Rosenstein jewelry sold for more than a week's pay for the average individual. Because of its limited production, Rosenstein jewelry is scarce in the market place and is always a coveted find for the collector and lover of fine quality costume jewelry!
The cameo is framed in a fancy floral etched gold-tone Victorian Revival style and the cameo is prong set; the frame is surrounded by silver-tone leaves with inset rhinestones which have faux pearl and prong set 'diamond' like rhinestone blossoms! The back of the brooch is almost as pretty as the front; polished gold-tone with a beaded frame around a thistle open work design with the, Nettie Rosenstein, signature set in a silver rectangular cartouche. The brooch measures a very respectable 2 1/2 by 2 1/8 inches and is 5/8 inch proud. The circa 1950 Victorian Revival brooch is in wonderful vintage condition, only very light finish wear that affirms its age and authenticity. This one is to be worn to get you noticed, a timeless addition to your accessories wardrobe which will become a stand-alone wardrobe essential for many occasions, seasons, events or with any ensemble!
