Staffordshire gilded large brown covered square meadow visitors transfer-ware serving dish with brown wildflowers and 'visitors' to the meadow tinted in shades of purple, gold and green by Maddock & Co. Stone China is being offered for your consideration. Ornate handles, quilt embossed cover and detailed brown transfer-ware flowers combine to make this a very attractive serving dish. The server measures a large 10 inches handle to handle by 7 1/4 inches and 4 1/2 inches tall, to the top of the cover's finale. This late Victorian to early Edwardian era server retains approximately 60 % of its gilding. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. Appropriate era typical production anomalies do exist; stilt marks, glaze pits, dust 'bumps', glaze skips and tiny iron specks. A wonderful server for your collection or a fine stand alone show piece and serving addition for your next gourmet / holiday buffet! (1196Z)
