Original Partially Cut Shirley Temple Paper Dolls from 1937
Great find and a double set And we know the original and only owner. This is a Saalfield Authorized Edition, No. 1761, 1937. It is really 2 sets of Shirley Temple 14.5" dolls, has 4 uncut pages and 3 pages of partially cut items and many many already cut costumes and accessories.
The set was cut by our very own local "Shirley Temple," the little girl who name was Carol Sue Boysal, later Carol Sue Black back at the time of the real and beloved Shirley Temple. There are 18 cut outfits, 3 hats, 2 accessories, and 4 pictures of Shirley. The dolls show a little different coloring, probably different dye lots. They are surprisingly in good condition, a few bends and one small tear that does not affect the doll much. One set of dolls does not have stands. Really quite a good find.
