The title is simply The Large Picture Primer with no author and no publisher that I can read. This book is so very old. The date on the inscription is 1878. It is not complete, but the cover is so beautiful and the black and white engraved pictures so lovely that I thought I should certainly offer it to a collector. It starts on page 63 and ends on page 96. Every page has a simple drawing or a wonderful engraving. Titles include , "The Stag , or Red Deer, Pigeons, Half Holiday, The Thrush, The Village School, The Chestnut Tree, Shearing Time, In the Garden," and many others. Each of these stories has a full page picture, 14 in all. There is also some music, and a poem at the end of the book.
I found a book much like this one on a children's library web site. It has the same pictures, stories and songs, but a different picture on the cover. The illustrators were Harrison Weir and William Small in this book.
I believe so much could be done with this lovely book. The cover is so beautiful and the pictures are wonderful. Please ask questions if you have them. I have tried to price accordingly.
