Here are 2 unusual, still boxed House of Dolls Scottish and Israel (Jewish) dolls. They are still attached to the cardboard inside. The boxes say House of Dolls, 311 N Des Plaines St. Chicago 6. The dolls are about 8" long, have sleep eyes and jointed arms. They are in native costumes which seem to be a trend with this kind of dolls from the 1950's. The blond Scottish dolls is wearing plaid with a green tam. Though never played with, the trim along the bottom has come away from the skirt. It can be mended. Very colorful still and doll paint is bright.
The other doll is also blond and wears the Star of David on a chain around her neck and has the star on her skirt. The ruffle around the bottom of the skirt may have faded some as it is not the same color at the bodice. But all is still so pretty and colorful Pretty painted face, too.
Boxes still have cellophane and all parts. Scottish, #345 shows some shelf wear and damage, though not at all serious for one so old. The other box is marked Alice in Wonderland, so it is the right kind of box, just not the right label. Box is in good condition.
Actually all are in good condition. Just needed to list the issues I see. I have tried to price accordingly. Both dolls are so interesting and unusual .
