This is a very interesting and unusual celebrity doll from Ideal Toy Company, 1930's. Fanny Brice was a real person who was an actress, musician, singer, and comedian who, among many other things, had the Baby Snooks Shows on the radio.
Fanny is 12" tall and has composition, head, hand, and head with a mold place for a bow. She has a wooden body and feet. She was designed by Cameo's Joseph Kallus, and is flexy doll with wire mesh torso and a metal cable thru arms & legs. She is in original clothing which in this case is a one piece outfit connected at the waist.. Other Ideal flexy character dolls were: Soldier, Mortimer Snerd Sunny Sue, Sunny Sam, Black Flexy and a Clown Flexy.
Her hands have the star fish design and her face is painted as is hr hair. All in very good condition. May be a little loose at the head, but that does not interfere is stance and posing. her upper arms show 3 tiny lines that just may be factory created. Clothes are pink and white and are clean, but show fading on the front.
She is a great doll and is desirable. I really enjoy the celebrity dolls and have many of my own. If you have questions please ask.
