This little celluloid boy has such a serious look and yet he is so cute! He is all celluloid with strung arms and legs. There is a rattle inside. AND he is in very good condition. He is dressed in an adorable dutch outfit with double buttons on his coat and wide pant legs. He is wearing a cap, and socks, but no shoes. A plaid dickey is attached to a collar around his neck that has two "brass" buttons. Molded hair (little boy cut), painted eyes ad lips, red dots in nostrils. There is half of a snap missing at the waist of the pants, but this isn't really an issue.
A very distinct mermaid mark is on his back with the number 29 which means either Cellba Celluloid Warenfabrik or Schoberl & Becker Doll, Germany. Again, this vintage little Dutch Boy is in very good condition. Such a good example of the lovely celluloid dolls of the past. I own several.
