Vintage French Bécassine doll. Made by (c) Minerve Gauter L 1972. Bécassine was a delightful cartoon strip that first appeared in La Semaine de Suzettee on February 2, 1905. This all vinyl bendee Bécassine measures 5 1/2" tall and was made in France. She is the perfect cabinet and doll companion size. She has a wire armature that allows her to bend and pose. She is all original including the umbrella that she is holding in her right hand. She is even wearing a red gingham slip under her dress. Bécassine is clean and ready for immediate display. She comes from a non-smoking environment and is free from any bad or unusual smells or odors.
