Delightful and unique set of three antique candy container, Christmas ornaments from Germany. Each features a Pierrot style bisque doll head with three molded curls and painted skull cap. Around their necks is a gathered silk ribbon ruffle. Bodies are simply cotton fabric bags in pink, blue and yellow to hold the candy. Each has a silk ribbon draw string at the front to open and access the candy. They measure 4 to 4 1/4" in length and 3 1/8" in width across the bottom. The yellow one is stamped GERMANY on the back. There is a hole at the top of their heads for a ribbon or string for hanging on the tree. These are missing and will need replacing. The bags have fading, aging and discoloration. The ribbon drawstring on the yellow one is a bit worn. Heads have light manufacturing issues such as marks in the bisque, access paint where it doesn't belong, tiny rough spots of fired excess clay bits, etc. But all and all they are a hard-to-find set of candy containers to find and a perfect addition for any collection from candy containers to Christmas to dolls.
