This wonderful, oval, vintage biscuit tin was produced to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and features a beautiful portrait of the Queen with her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
The tin measures 11 1/2" long, 7 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" in height. It originally contained Carr's of Carlyle assorted biscuits. The tin is red on the sides and features an image of each of the Royal residences Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, Sandringham House and Balmoral Castle.
This piece is in good condition with some light wear from age. There is one minor dent in the base but this does not detract from the piece. It would make an excellent addition to any collection.
