This lovely example of a vintage elegant glass cruet is decorated with a vine and leaf sterling silver overlay pattern and was produced by Heisey as part of their Peerless line. The Peerless pattern with it's paneled shapes was first introduced in 1899. A handful of pieces were still being produced in 1944 but the cruet is likely a much earlier production.
This piece measures 5 3/4" tall including the stopper, and 3" diameter at the widest points on the base. without the stopper it's about 4 3/8" to the top of the handle.
In very good condition it has no chips or cracks, and just some light wear here and there. It comes with the original stopper. This piece is not signed but I have compared it to a catalog reprint and I am absolutely sure it is a Heisey piece.
