This charming little, individual or one cup sized teapot was produced circa 1940 and was made in England. Reminiscent of Sadler teapots of the era, this Brown Betty is marked L/B Made in England on the base. The rich, chocolate brown teapot is accented with two green and one peach or pale orange stripe around the upper portion of the pot. The Brown Betty teapots are well known for making the Best British Cuppa. This wonderful individual pot would make a charming vintage accent in a hotel or bed and breakfast, or a perfect piece to serve your house guests with tea in the mornings.
The teapot measures 4" in height including the lid, and the body is 4" in diameter. Total length including handle and spout is about 7 1/2".
In excellent condition this piece has no chips, nicks or cracks at all.
