This fabulous piece of antique, ruby stained glass was produced by Hobbs Brockunier and Company circa 1889 or US Glass after 1891. It is a large, open compote in the Hexagonal Block pattern in clear pressed glass with a deep red scalloped rim. This piece of Early American Pattern Glass features a large bowl atop a pedestal stem. It would make a wonderful display piece or fruit bowl.
The compote measures 8 1/2" in diameter and 6 1/2" in height.
This piece, over a century old, is in excellent condition. The only flaw I can find is one pinpoint nick on the rim of the base and a handful of tiny scratches in the ruby staining. This would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
