This wonderful Adesa wine decanter set is a complete Scandinavian art glass Mid Century Modern set which was produced and sold in the 1950s. The set consists of one elegant decanter with it's stopper and six matching wine glasses. Each piece in this set is a deep, rich amber which was called Brown by Aseda and is reminiscent of Autumn leaves in colour, the feet are a paperweight style with a scalloped design. This particular foot design is often attributed to designer Bo Borgstrom, but was in fact produced in the 1950s and he did not come on board until the 1960s.
This set would make a wonderful addition to your collection, a fabulous gift for a wedding or addiversary, or a gorgeous decorative accent in your home.
The decanter measures 13" in height including the stopper, and just under 5" in diameter at the widest point. This is the larger of two decanters that were produced in a similar design. The smaller cordial decanter has a flat top on the stopper. The wine glass tumblers are 4 1/4" in height and 2 1/4" in diameter at the rim.
This set is in wonderful condition! Upon close scrutiny I can see a couple of very minor scratches on the widest point of the decanter body, but other than that there is really no visible wear to the set at all.
