This wonderful piece of antique art glass was likely produced in the Bohemian region of Europe, though it could potentially be Italian or American also. Produced in the late 19th century it is made of very pale green opaque glass with a clear, satin handle. The body of the pitcher or ewer has a melon like shape which is decorated with pale peach pink flowers and deep green leaves. The rim of the vase is crimped and culminates in a pointed spout. The base of the vase has a pontil mark in the center.
This piece measures 9" in height and 4" wide from handle to spout.
In wonderful condidion it has no chips, nicks or cracks and minimal loss to the enamel design. There are two spots of old museum putty or something similar on the base. This Victorian era piece of art glass would look wonderful as a vase in your home.
