This charming, vintage teapot was produced in England by Ellgreave China, a subsidiary of Wood and Sons pottery, Ellgreave China was in production from 1921 to 1978 and from the design of this piece I think it dates to circa late 1940s to early 1960s. This gorgeous teapot has a white background which is accented with floral bouquets, gold lattice, scrolls and a scalloped rim and foot.
The piece is function yet elegant and comfortably holds 4 cups or 32 ounces of liquid with room to spare for another 4 ounces before it's full to the brim.
This piece is in pristine condition. It looks like it has never been used. There are no chips, nicks or cracks, no obvious wear and no crazing or stains to the china. It would make a wonderful addition to any home or collection, or an excellent gift.
