This elegant piece of vintage, early 1980s Fenton art glass is an early production Temple Jar in their Wildflowers on Cameo pattern. This pattern has delicate brown flowers and leaves which are hand painted atop a pale, caramel coloured Satin glass jar.
Early production pieces, which were made in the first 6 months of the 1982-1984 run of this pattern, have plain brown flowers like the jar on offer. After the first 6 months, due to complaints from Fenton personel, the artists began adding some pink and blue hues to the flowers to brighten the pattern up a bit.
This piece is a Ginger Jar shape, which Fenton called Temple Jars. It comes complete with it's original lid and measures 6 1/2" in height and 3 1/2" in diameter. I excellent condition this piece has no chips, nicks or cracks and no wear to the hand painted design.
