This beautiful piece of antique Imperial carnival glass was produced circa 1915 and features a wonderful embossed design of a windmill, surrounded by trees, flowers, a bridge, a fence and a church. The scene always reminds me of the British country side even though it's an American made piece.
This bowl is ruffled, with a scalloped rim and a fluted pattern on the outside of the bowl. It is decorated with a rich, pumpkin tone of Marigold carnival iridescence. It measures 8 3/4" in diameter and 3 1/2" in height.
In very good condition, the only minor flaw I can find is one tiny nick on the top of one scallop (shown). There are no other chips, nicks or cracks and minimal wear from age.
This would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
