This beautiful piece of vintage elegant glass dates to circa 1930s and is decorated with a wonderful design of enameled flowers and gilding. The plate is a pale pink in colour and has a ruby flashed band around the underside of the rim. There is a piece shown in the Fry glass book, which has a very similar combination of ruby stain and enameled flowers so this may have been made by Fry and/or decorated by a decorating company.
The top of the rim is decorated with fold and the topside of the plate has three tree like decorations with pink roses, blue forget-me-knots and green and gold leaves. This is a wonderful design the likes of which you'll rarely see.
The plate measures 10" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks at all and very little wear from age or use. There are a few minor scratches in the ruby stain.
