The Moon and Star pattern has enjoyed a long and prosperous journey through glass history, beginning it’s life as an EAPG pattern in the late 1800’s after which is was produced by several companies over many years and is in fact still being produced today.
This piece we have to offer is a stunning Ruby Red open compote which was produced by L.E. Smith in the late 1960’s. It has a wide bowl with scalloped rim atop a squared stem and domed foot.
This compote measures 7 ½” in diameter and 6” tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks at all and only the barest signs of wear. It would make a marvelous addition to a collection, gift for a loved one, or stand alone piece in your home.
