This wonderful piece of antique, hand blown art glass is from the late Victorian era and may have originated in Europe or America. It is a cased glass vase with a blue interior and milk white exterior. The front of the vase is accented with a single bird in flight, possibly a Bluebird as they were very symbolic of Happiness in this era. The rim of the vase is crimped and the base displays a rough pontil mark.
This piece measures 5" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks and the painted design is pristine. There are some very minor imperfections in the glass which occurred during manufacture, as is common in glass from this era.
