This beautiful example of a British pottery tea pot was produced circa 1940s and has a wonderful round, ribbed shape with graceful curves and a delicate pattern of yellow roses and gold accents.
The teapot measures 5 1/2" in height and 5 1/2" in diameter (not including the spout and handle). It holds 5 cups of liquid when it is full to capacity, so I think you could comfortable make 4 cups of tea in it.
This piece is marked ENGLAND on the base, but does not indicate which company produced it. It is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. There are a few lines of crazing on the lid but this does not detract from the use or beauty of the piece.
