This exquisite example of mid century modern art glass was produced by Strombergshyttan circa late 1950s or early 1960s. It has a wonderful design of a sail boat deeply engraved into the front, with a single sailor sitting at the back of the boat and seagulls soaring overhead. The vase has thick walls and is a triangle in shape. It is the characteristic pale bluish-silver colour that Strombergshyttan is well known for.
The base of the vase is signed Strombergshyttan B818 C223. B is the designation for Vase and 818 is the production code which dates the era of the piece.
This vase measures 6 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter at the top. In excellent condition it has some very light wear from age and no chips, nicks or cracks at all.
