This beautiful example of hand blown studio art glass was probably made by a local, Washington state artist. It has a wonderful spiral swirl of cranberry and crystal which is topped with a blue rim. The coloured rim reminds me of pieces created by the Pilchuck Glass School.
This bowl is also very similar to the Ripple Bowl which is produced at the Glass Eye Studio. The bowl has a pontil in the center of the base, which has been ground and polished n places to sit flat on a surface. The pontil has an artists signature which appears to read WK Corb, but it's a little hard to read.
The bowl measures 7 7/8" in diameter and 4" deep. It is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks.
