This antique, cut glass vase with fluted design likely dates back to the mid to early 1800s, or quite possibly a little earlier. I have not been able to identify it's origins, but the simple paneled design, thick cut glass and the general age wear of the piece lead me to believe it is from this period. It could be of British origin, or from the East cost of America.
This piece measures 8 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter at the base. The base is slightly concave, and polished smooth.
In very good condition it does have the aforementioned wear from age, and some minor pinpoint nicks on the corners between the panels. There's also a little water residue in the base. For a piece of it's age however, I do believe it's a fine example.
