This beautiful 1940s era Brown Betty Teapot was produced in England by Sadler, and decorated in pale mint green, and pink with elegant gold leaf flowers and abstract lines. The bottom portion of the pot, plus the handle, spout and knob are completely covered in gold.
They say that the Brown Betty teapot makes the best cup of tea, and as I have to agree. This piece measures 5" tall and is about 5 1/2" in diameter, not including the handle and spout.
It is in very good condition with no chips, nicks and cracks. There is some light wear to the gold decoration around the widest part of the body and a smidgen on the lid, but all of the rest of the decoration is in excellent condition.
This would make a wonderful addition to any Tea Pot collection, or a great vintage piece to add to your own home.
