This unusual layered rhinestone brooch is of Eastern European origin with deep, cobalt blue rhinestones in a gold tone backing. It dates to circa 1930s, prior to WWII and the crystal rhinestones sparkle beautifully in the light.
The brooch is a bar pin, rectangular in shape, with a pyramid effect as each layer of crystals overlap the next. It is 2' long and 5/8" wide.
In good condition it shows some light signs of age and is complete with all of it's rhinestones. The pin back is a hinged C clasp.
