This beautiful piece of antique American Brilliant Cut Glass was produced by Hawkes and is signed with their trefoil mark in the center of the dish. The pattern is called Canton, which is shown in a circa 1909 catalog in the book "The American Cut Glass Industry T.G. Hawkes and His Competitors".
This dish measures 5 7/8" in diameter and about 1 1/2" in height at the rim. In good condition it does have some tiny nicks around the rim as if often found on cut glass from this era, and two chips on the tips of two of the teeth.
It would make a lovely addition to your home or collection.
