Who doesn't love a little bit of British nostalgia? Being of English origins I find myself drawn to items such as this vintage Blue Bird toffee tin which depicts a scene of Westminster Abbey in London.
I believe this tin dates to the early 1940s based on the style of double decker London bus that is shown in the image. The RT1 was introduced in 1939. This tin also shows Big Ben, and behind it the tallest tower in the houses of Parliament. I believe the building to the right of the image is part of Westminster Cathedral.
The tin would make a fabulous decorative item or a perfect container in which to offer a gift to the Anglophile in your life. It measures 5 3/4" long, 3 5/8" wide and 1 1/2" in height. In fair vintage condition it does have some light wear from age and one small scratch on the top.
