This beautiful vintage candy jar was produced by Westmoreland Glass between 1928 and 1940. The shape is classic and timeless and is technically called a Chocolate Box. The lid has the pressed Della Robbia pattern on it with the red, yellow and purple colors on the fruit.
This would make a wonderful trinket box, or storage piece. I could imagine it sitting on a dressing table full of hair pins, or storing Thimbles, needles and other sewing supplies. It would also make a wonderful gift for a loved one.
This piece measures 6 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/2" tall including the handle. The base of the piece is ground and polished and the box is in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks at all. It would make a stunning addition to any collection.
