This fantastic and hard to find example of vintage art glass is a spectacular 1930s European paperweight with a Royal Scots Regimental Badge image on the inside.
The white colored badge floats atop a layer of multicolored frit which is encased in a clear glass dome.
The weight is similar to some produced in the 1930's by Paul Ysart but there is little evidence to prove if it is a Ysart paperweight or one of similar designs that were produced in Belgium in the same period.
The Paperweight measures about 2 1/4" tall and 3" in diameter. It has a rough pontil on the base. In good condition this piece has no chips or cracks and just a little light wear from age. It is an unusual piece to add to a military collection, Royal Scots Regimental collection or add to a paperweight collection.
