This fantastic 19th century bronze owl is 9 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. An excellent casting with damage to one talon which appears to be an original break off from the casting. The patina is equal over entire piece. There appears to be a makers mark on the inside of the knot hole but I can not make it out. The last three letters appear to be UER. The detail of the entire piece is great but especially on the soft feathers which makes the owls flight soundless. I have never seen this bronze owl before.
