Uniquely Distinctive, One-Of-A-Kind, Italian Moretti Glass, Swarovski Crystal, Sterling Silver - Wearable Art Focal Pendant Necklace !
This Unique Focal Pendant Necklace has been designed around a gorgeous - Barrel Shaped Glass Lampwork Bead (Handcrafted and Properly Kiln Annealed by a Lampwork Artisan in North Carolina). Please note, the focal bead is not flat .. it is a dimensional circular Barrel Shape (less a bulging center :-) ... The focal bead (alone) measures 1 Inch in height x 5/8 Inch inch in width.
The focal bead has a solid pale Lavender Purple Base, encased in clear glass ... and is adorned with 9 alternating rows of raised dimensional dotting - in Clear Dots & blended greens ... the dot placement and symmetry is wonderful ! (encircling and encompassing the entire bead)
I've taken advantage of how difficult it can be to photograph glass ... as light reflects and bounces off glass ... and in this case ... you can visually see in the pics ... each clear dot (due to the light filtering in, around and thru the clear glass) .... and how glass acts as a light catcher (and how it radiates) .... I usually try to avoid this amount of reflection when photographing ... however, with this Focal .. it allows for distinction ...
Hand wire wrapped 2x on heavy gauge Sterling Silver with accenting Swarovski Crystal dangles - Green Ernite (4 mm) and Purple Tanzanite (8 mm). All components and wire wrapping are sterling silver, including the twist jump ring / bail (my own bench crafted design) at the top ....
This Uniquely Distinctive, One-Of-A-Kind Focal Pendant measures a lengthy 2 7/8 Inches !
Dangling and swinging gracefully from a Swedish Satin Cord (measuring 30 Inches in length, allowing you to simply slip over your head and go). This Focal can (also) easily be added to your favorite chain … and/or you can continue to wear on it's satin cord … your preference :-)
If you are new to Glass Lampwork Art, each bead is Individually hand crafted by heating solid glass rods to a molten state - the beads are created by wrapping and layering the molten glass around a steel rod (which becomes the bead hole). Depending on the skill of the Glass Lampwork Artisan, the end result can be phenomenal ! Lampworking involves carefully manipulating hot molten glass ... and no paint or painting is involved !
