A beautiful necklace comprised of 9 graduating Operculum Shells set in 9 carat gold suspended from a matching gold double strand chain.
The shells exhibit colors of green to orange on a white ground looking somewhat like "eyes". They have the coveted high gloss shimmer and are well matched.
The necklace measures 18" long and can be shortened on request. It closes with a spring ring.
CONDITION: In overall very fine vintage/antique condition with no damage to note. Shells are luminous and very well matched. Chains are red gold, marked and tested to 9 carat. Early 20th century, Edwardian. Of Australian origin.
