Presbyterian Dolls - 16" cloth painted faces. Lady has the unique bun painted on the back of her head. They are a matched pair with matched hair and eye color. Both dolls are in mint unplayed with condition. The ladies of the Church made all of the dolls and clothing and painted the dolls and faces. The first dolls were made in 1885 and the project was revived in 1956. These were made by the Women's Church Society from The First Presbyterian Church from Bucyrus, Ohio. Both dolls have the paper tags.
This pair is from 1975 and they are marked on the bottom. The group picture show other dolls I will be offering at a later date.
These come from a smoke-fee and pet-free home.
