Vintage Victorian rose gold hinged bangle bracelet with Angel Skin coral cameo signed Fremier. The bangle has no hallmark but passed acid test for at least 10K gold.
The bangle is oval shaped not round so will fit nicely on the wrist. It measures 2-1/2" x 2" closed with an inside diameter of 7" and the band is 1/2" wide and 1/8" thick and weighs 26.18 grams. The bangle has a push down button and sliding metal band closure which is in very good working condition. Fremier is marked on the inside of the bangle at the hinge. I can't find any information on this maker but the bangle probably dates from late 1800's to early 1900's.
The front of the bangle has beautiful engraved floral etching with a raised etched centre piece holding a bezel set lady's head cameo which appears to be angel skin coral and measures 1/2" x 3/8" including the bezel. There is a fine line on one side of the cameo background which is not a crack but looks like a slip during carving and is only noticeable with a jeweler's loupe.
This exquisite signed Victorian bangle is in extremely good condition for it's age.
