Vintage Agatha Paris two strand translucent faceted Opaline glass beads with matching teardrop drop earrings.
Michel Quiniou founded Agatha Paris in 1974 and he chose the brand name Agatha because he wanted a girl's name starting with A and to sound like the stone Agate!
The inner strand of the necklace measures 13" long with faceted 9mm translucent opaline glass beads and the outer strand is 14" long with 9mm and 10mm faceted beads. All beads are separated by tiny stainless steel round spacer beads.
There is a 2-1/2" long extender chain with a lobster catch and the two strands of beads have stainless steel ends. The signature Scotty dog hang tag marked Agatha is attached to the chain.
The matching drop earrings are 7/8" long by 1/2"at the widest part and have stainless steel fishhook wires with a tiny Aurora Borealis rhinestone on the bottom covering the hole for the wire.
When the light shines through these amazing beads they show a pale amber colour inside. This is hard to capture in a picture but it is really beautiful to see.
This wonderful vintage Agatha two strand choker necklace and earrings set is in excellent vintage condition and does not appear to have been worn very much.
