Antique Pompadour Ring, Circa 1910, in 18-Carat Gold, Natural Sapphire, and Diamonds

This captivating Pompadour ring, dating back to circa 1910, is a beautiful example of the Belle Époque era, an age known for its elegant and romantic jewelry designs. Crafted in 18-carat rose gold (750/1000), the centerpiece is a striking natural oval blue sapphire, weighing approximately 1.5 carats. This mesmerizing sapphire is surrounded by 14 rose-cut diamonds, with two additional diamonds flanking the sides of the setting, bringing the total diamond weight to approximately 0.6 carat.

The Pompadour style, named after Madame de Pompadour, the famous mistress of King Louis XV, was popularized during the early 20th century, offering a refined balance of opulence and subtlety. The soft, warm hue of the rose gold beautifully complements the deep blue of the sapphire, creating a truly timeless piece.
