I have used bold and warm earthy colored gemstone barrel-shaped beads to create this bracelet. The gemstones used are Peach Aventurine, green Unakite, red Jasper, brown and yellow golden Tiger Eye. The beautiful beads are highlighted with wavy spacers, made of lead-free Copper-plated Pewter. Between these gemstone beads are pairs of round Copper beads and hollow corrugated Copper beads. At the Copper round toggle hangs a carved Jasper bird. So perfect for your Fall wardrobe! Please see complementary necklace Item #RMS5197.
Aventurine is a form of translucent Quartz deriving its color from minute inclusions of oxidized iron. Called the ‘Whispering Stone’ it helps reach the quiet state necessary for meditation and inner peace.
Unakite was first discovered in the US in the Unakas Mountains of North Carolina, but it is also found in South Africa, Brazil and China. It is a form of granite with pink Feldspar, green Epidote and clear Quartz. Natural healers associate the stone with creativity and self-awareness, increasing self-esteem and releasing suppressed energies and emotions. Unakite is associated with the Zodiac sign of Scorpio.
Red Jasper is microcrystalline Quartz in association with minerals that make it the red color and a black matrix. It is thought to give the wearer strength and courage and was used in ancient times to protect from evil spirits, as well as spider and snake bites. Natural healers used red jasper to provide emotional balance and to help soothe heartaches
Tiger Eye is an iron bearing Quartz. The quartz is in a fibrous formation creating parallel lines within the gemstone. Light shining on the stone seems to move across the surface of the stone, a phenomenon known as 'Chatoyancy' coming from the French word for cat. The pictures do not capture this wonderful display but it is characteristic of this gemstone. The stone was thought in ancient times to bring good fortune and protection from the 'Evil Eye'. Roman soldiers were known to wear Tiger Eye to battle for protection. It is the gemstone for the 9th wedding anniversary. The presence of Iron Oxide determines the intensity of the golden color of the Tiger Eye.
