I have combined earthy Red Creek Jasper, with it's shades of brown, red, gray and green with sky blue Turquoise to create this bracelet. Warm glowing Copper melon beads are also used around this bracelet. At the trigger clasp hangs a variety of charms, a Copper Cross, a Red Creek Jasper Cross, a Red Jasper Heart and a Turquoise nugget. A celebration!
Jaspers have been used as ornamental and gemstones from ancient times. They are microcrystalline Quartz in association with a variety of other minerals which give the Jaspers colorful patterns and bands. Jaspers are often named according to its color or patterns. Red Creek Jasper, is named after the stream that runs through the area it was first discovered in China. It is also known as ‘Cherry Creek’ Jasper. This stone is known for the swirling combinations of earthy browns, green, yellow and reds that give each bead a unique color pattern.
