I have paired a stack of three wheels (heishis) of pink Peruvian Opal with a hand-forged lead-free Pewter rustic heart charm. The natural pink beads come with some black and white markings on them, typically found with these Peruvian Opals. The pitted elongated Inviciti heart charms are made by Vincent and Nooma, an artisan couple from Orange City, Florida. The Opal beads are highlighted and separated by silver-filled tarnish-free beads. All this dangles from a pair of sterling silver ear wires.
Peruvian Pink Opal, is a true Opal in a beautiful pastel pink. It is mainly found in Peru, but it has also been found in Western Australia. It is a wet stone, with water within its structure and must be treated with care. It is a 'jelly' opal lacking the fire commonly associated with Australian and Ethiopian Opals. The Peruvian Pink Opal is considered a stone for love and affairs of the heart, and for peace and tranquility.
Length: almost 1.75 inches from your piercing.
Bead size: Pewter charm 11 x 22 mm; Opal heishis 6 x 10 mm.
All ear wires from Sundancegems come with a clear medical grade PVC ear clutch or stopper. These fit snug on the ear wire, and prevent you from loosing your earrings.
