Dashing 1940s vintage double breasted tuxedo suit with elegant large peaked lapels. The 5 inch wide lapels are grosgrain while the fabric is a fine light weight wool that is partially lined with a soft rich satin. The shoulders have small pads and the pants are unlined with a zipper fly. There are no belt loops, suspender buttons only. No label or tags seem to remain.
Condition is EX+ used vintage with no cosmetic issues to mention. Fresh and clean right out of closet storage with no use wear or damage that I can find. In particular, no moth nibbles, spots or repairs. The only sort of negative thing I can find is that someone has moved two of the buttons 2 inches to the right in order to increase the waist, I will leave them in this position and let the new owner decide where they should be.
Outside dimensions of the jacket while lying flat are: 22 inches arm pit seam to arm pit seam straight across, app. 42 inch chest, 19 inches seam to seam across the shoulders and 26 inch sleeves (from the upper shoulder seam to the bottom cuff edge), 32 inches from back neck seam to bottom of hem. Please take these measurements and compare them to a jacket that fits you well to see if this is a good size for you.
The pants have a 38 inch waist with about 1 inch available to let out, the overall length is 44 inches and the in seam is 31 inches.
