This early Pennsylvania walnut one drawer stand or writing desk is signed by the maker E. Parsons. The top is a solid single piece of walnut with handsomely designed cut corners. Imagine the large old growth tree this stand was made from! The hand dovetailed drawer has a wooden knob and the signature of the maker. The table has simple, yet elegantly turned legs. Amazingly, the finish appears original having a very desirable patina with the expected wear from nearly 200 years of use! The frame is tight and in excellent condition. 29"h X 33.5"w X 22"d, Condition: Excellent, Circa: 1820's.
